frist step in bandhej making process is to select Fabric from local markets of that city ,after Selection of cloth Usually cotton, silk, muslin, or georgette modal silk ,guji silk, mulmul. we are moving to distribute this cloth in remote areas of particlar region in each house and the women and girls are going to go making small and Small portions of fabric are tied with thread to resist dye, and this process take weeks to month depend on cloth ,size ,style , pattern. when the complete tied the fabric , than the cloth distributor collect all pieces from each house and go for Dyeing.
this fabric is dyed in different stages (light to dark colors) and after that drying this dyed cloth naturally in open air direct to sunlight after that this Bandhej is going to ready for sell in market, and at shop when some one buy at that time this tied Bandhej is Untying by push and stretchy the cloth and threads are removed to reveal the tied patterns.
